Walk into any tack shop, and you will usually see a dizzying array of bits on display. So how do you know which one to choose?? Each design has a slightly different action, and most horses will have just one or maybe two bits that they will go best in. So it pays to really give some thought to which one you choose. There are too many different types of bits to cover them all here, but here is a description of the most common bits and their actions.
