A Simple, But Often Overlooked Exercise to Help Relax a Tense Horse

I see this scenario all the time... a rider brings their horse to a new place for a lesson, clinic, or show... and the horse comes out all nervous and tense - not wanting to focus on the job, but instead wanting to nervously look around at his new surroundings. Many riders just press on, and end up having quite a frustrating ride.
