Many trainers preach "Ride every stride!", and yet others say "Cease the aids - let the horse perform on his own until you need to make a change." On the surface, these appear to be contradictory statements. But are they really? Do you think there is a way that they both can be true? In which instances would each be more appropriate, in your opinion?
