Question # 233: My horse is afraid of the whip, so I usually don't carry one. But yet he is not as responsive to my leg as I would like. Should I just use a bigger spur? (Chris)

Hi Chris!

I actually see this happen a lot to some degree. Either the horse is afraid of the whip, or the horse is annoyed by the whip, and acts out or threatens the rider when they think about using it. In both cases, (Click on Question Title above (in blue) to read full answer)
