Video Discussion # 49: How to ride a square halt.
This video gives good advice on how to achieve that elusive square halt! I am in total agreement with her about not attempting to square up afterwards. A square halt is not a trick that you teach a horse, it is a result of a straight and balanced horse, and a well ridden transition to the halt. What are your thoughts?
