Bullfinch jumps can look quite daunting to both horse and rider, as the height of the brush can be quite a bit higher than the maximum allowed height for the "fixed" portion of the obstacle. Many times, like in the above picture, the horse and rider cannot even see over the jump! So it takes quite a bit of bravery and trust in the rider for the horse to give it a go!
